The FICA Portland Study Group has been training in Portland since the beginning of 2008. The efforts have been continually supported by Mestre Jurandir and Mestre Silvinho, who oversee the study group with regular monthly visits and special workshops. In January 2009, the group celebrated the opening of a new studio at 707 NE Broadway #203. The study group has always been open to all, from beginners to experienced “capoeiristas”.
